Why Lunch Is The Most Important Meal For Work At Home Business Owners
If you're starting a business, have a business, or are turbo charging your work at home business, invest in lunch as one of your most prized possessions.
Make it YOUR time for masterminding. YOUR time to invest in yourself, your education, your business's growth.
Find someone who has skills you would like to sharpen and invite him/her for lunch. It doesn't matter if she or he is in the same industry (or has the same focus) as you, all businesses are the same, as Dan Kennedy would say. ("But Charlie... MY business is different." OK, stop that: Learn from others and you'll see how similar ALL businesses are!)
Most entrepreneurs love talking about themselves and what they do, so ask lots of questions that lead to the lessons you are looking for.
Once there in the relaxed atmosphere of breaking bread, find out how this person succeeded AND what mistakes were made. People are often candid in such an atmosphere and you can learn from the success and the conflicts.
Ask about your business plan and get some suggestions - hey, you set up the lunch, most likely are paying for it, so focusing SOME of the attention on you will be understood (and dare I say expected).
The wheel has already been invented and YOU don't have to invent a better one - ask for advice and then listen carefully - could be the best investment for your work at home business you've made in a long time!
